Resources Global Professionals Launches Conflict Minerals Solution

IRVINE, California, December 4, 2012 - Resources Global Professionals ("Resources"), a leading multinational provider of professional services and the operating subsidiary of Resources Connection, Inc. (NASDAQ: RECN), announced today that the company has launched a Conflict Minerals Solution under the Supply Chain practice area to assist companies with meeting their new conflict minerals compliance and disclosure requirements under the recently adopted SEC reporting rules.

According to Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, SEC reporting companies will be required to annually disclose their use of conflict minerals. The final SEC ruling passed in August requires comprehensive compliance due diligence starting in January 2013, with the first filing due May 31, 2014. Conflict minerals originate in the Democratic Republic of Congo and/or adjoining countries and can be found in a wide variety of consumer products and industrial electronics, including cell phones, computers and televisions in industries ranging from aerospace to telecommunications.

"We believe that complying with these new disclosure requirements is going to be a daunting and time-consuming task for many companies. That's where Resources can help," stated Jon Wesoky, Senior Practice Leader of the Supply Chain Management practice. "Resources has extensive institutional knowledge of supply chain, audit and compliance issues which enables us to deliver an efficient and compliant due diligence methodology to determine a client's conflict minerals exposure in a timely and cost-effective manner."

Resources has created a comprehensive conflict minerals solution including a Quick Diagnostic to help scope, plan and budget for compliance; a Due Diligence Package to ensure initial and sustainable compliance; and a Training Program to prepare clients and their suppliers.

Resources' global footprint allows deployment of seasoned consultants anywhere in the world. To further enhance our ability to serve our clients, Resources offers a proprietary content management software, policy IQ, to assist and monitor the conflict minerals compliance process, including all necessary documentation and approvals.

"In short, Resources offers a true one-stop solution to a very complex and challenging task that is going to confront a significant number of SEC filers and many of their suppliers," said Tracy Stephens, Senior Vice President and Global Supply Chain Management Practice Leader.
