IRVINE, Calif., October 24, 2007 Resources Connection, Inc. (NASDAQ: RECN), a leading multinational provider of professional services through its operating subsidiary Resources Global Professionals (Resources), is pleased to announce the appointment of Anne Shih to its board of directors, effective immediately.
Ms. Shih, 60, is actively involved in philanthropic endeavors, including serving as vice chair of the Board of Governors of the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana, Calif., founder and board member of the United Chinese American Association, and board member of the Historical and Cultural Foundation of Orange County. A native of Taiwan, Ms. Shih moved to the U.S. in 1979.
Ms. Shih becomes the eighth member of the Resources Board of Directors. "We are privileged to have Anne join our Board," said Donald B. Murray, chairman and chief executive officer of Resources. "With her deep ties to China and the entire Asian continent, Anne brings a fresh perspective that will be of great value to Resources as we expand our operations in Asia."
Ms. Shih resides in Huntington Beach, Calif., with her husband, Danny, who is founder and president of the Plasfield Company.
