Resources Connection Opens New Florida OfficeCosta Mesa, Calif. - Sept. 16, 2004 -- Resources Connection, Inc. (NASDAQ: RECN), a leading global professional services firm, today announced that is has opened a new office in southern Florida. Mark Viner has been appointed managing director of the firm's South Florida practice.
"Having an office in South Florida gives Resources Connection a presence in all four corners of the state, which will enable us to better serve our clients' needs, many of whom have headquarters or branch offices in southern Florida," said Jay Milligan, regional managing director of Resources Connection. "We are very pleased that Mark Viner has re-joined the firm to lead this important new office, as he brings valuable experience following his recent tenure as CFO of a publicly traded company."
Mr. Viner is returning to Resources Connection after spending the past six years as Chief Financial Officer of Dreams, Inc., a sports memorabilia products provider and franchiser of the Field of Dreams chain of stores. As CFO, Mr. Viner was responsible for all accounting, financial and investor relations activities on behalf of the publicly held entity.
In early 1998, Mr. Viner served as a client service director for Resources Connection's Las Vegas practice. Originally from Orlando, Mr. Viner has also worked at Planet Hollywood, The Walt Disney Company and Deloitte & Touche.
Mr. Viner earned a bachelor's degree of science in accounting from Birmingham-Southern College. He is a member of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and is involved with several South Florida charities, including Kids in Distress.
Resources Connection's new office is located at 8201 Peters Road, Suite 1000 in Plantation, Florida.
