Resources Connection Selected As One Of Forbes 200 Best Small Companies For Second Consecutive Year

Costa Mesa, CA, October 21, 2003 -- Resources Connection, Inc. (NASDAQ: RECN), an international professional services firm, was selected as one of the Forbes 200 Best Small Companies in America for 2003 for the second consecutive year. The full list and selection criteria are published in the October 27, 2003 issue of Forbes magazine.

To qualify for the Forbes 200 Best Small Companies list, companies are evaluated based on growth in sales, earnings and return on equity for the previous 12-month and five-year periods. Specifically, companies must have recent 12-month sales between $5 million and $600 million, as well as a share price above $5, and a five-year return on equity of at least five percent.
